GoPro Accepting Sponsorship Applications for 2008

GoPro, the California-based maker of wearable digital sports cameras, is pleased to announce it will be accepting sponsorship applications for 2008. Racers and athletes interested in being sponsored by GoPro are encouraged to visit SponsorHouse.com, MXResultz.com or MXSponsor.com to apply for 2008 sponsorship.
Coming off of a victorious debut in the motocross market at the Monster Energy AMA Supercross in Minneapolis where Yamaha Factory racing’s Josh Hill celebrated his first 450 SX win, GoPro is looking to outfit top amateur athletes across the country with their lightweight and convenient wearable digital video cameras.
GoPro Helmet camera footage from Josh Hill’s win can be seen at www.goprocamera.com thanks to the fact that Josh was wearing the Motorsports HERO camera during the race.
“Our goal is to make it affordable and convenient for amateur athletes to shoot on-board or on-helmet video during their sport,” said Nicholas Woodman, founder and President of GoPro. “Reviewing video is important for training. And having that video to share online with others can big a big help in attracting new sponsors.
As we saw with Josh Hill’s win at Minneapolis, the Motorsports HERO camera is convenient even at the highest levels of racing.”
To capitalize on the growing success of its Motorsports HERO camera, GoPro has recently hired motorsports agency, NXTagency, to develop strategic marketing initiatives and manage grassroots sponsorship opportunities for amateur racers and athletes across the U.S wanting to GoPro.
